The reduction of the oxidized sensitizer dye by the electrolyte is in competition with the unfavorable recombination of the injected electron with the oxidized dye [10].
Based on the data listed, the best annealing temperature for anatase TiO2 photoanode is at 420 oC (0.094%) with the crystallite size of 18.76 nm and average particle size of 19 nm that is favorable for the dye attachment and thus enhances the energy conversion efficiency of the DSSC.
