Introduction Vitrified bond diamond grinding wheels are commonly used for grinding different brittle and hard materials [1].
In the past, the creation of the pores in the grinding wheel was mainly achieved by adding organic pore-forming materials like polymethyl methacrylate.
In comparison with organic pore-forming materials, alumina bubbles are resistant to softening and deformation at high temperatures, which enables them to control the porosity and pore size of the grinding wheel effectively [8].
By now, there are very few reports on using alumina bubbles as pore-forming materials in vitrified bond diamond specimens.
