However, most of existing dwellings were relics of Ming, Qing dynasties and the Republic of China period due to the specificity of Chinese traditional building materials, wars, natural disasters and other reasons, which limits the time scope for the vernacular dwellings research.

Abstract.
It can be found that, the thermal residual stress in materials has important effect to the mechanical properties and dimension stability.
The value of residual stress in water-cooling composite is much larger than air-cooling composite. 5 Acknowledgements This project is financially supported by the Jiangxi Province Key Laboratory of Advanced Copper and Tungsten Materials (no. 2012-KLP-5). 6 References [1] S.C.lim, M.gupta, W.B.Ng: Materials and Technology Vol.18(1997), p. 161~166 [2] CHE Yue, XING Jian-dong and ZHANG Yong-zhen, etc: TRIBOLOGY Vol.21(2001) , p. 171~175 [3] M.Izciler, M.Muratoglu: Journal of Materials Processing Technology Vol.132(2003), p. 67~72 [4] W.

The hierarchical structure in natural materials typically represents an optimised allocation of the material’s mechanical properties, by maximising the biomechanical resistance while minimising the amount of material used [2].
