Shortage of wood fiber supply in China made researchers to look out for new sources of fibrous materials.
Moreover, the composite industry always looks into alternative low cost and lignocellulosic sources, which can decrease overall manufacturing costs and increase stiffness of the materials.
Experimental Materials Silvergrass (80 mesh) was obtained from Yueyang Paper Co.

Introduction
Laser Peening (LP) is a relatively new surface treatment for metallic materials to induce residual
compressive stress fields in the near surface regions of engineering components.
These stress fields can greatly improve the resistance of the material to crack initiation and propagation when the material is loaded in a cyclic way or fatigued.

Introduction
Steel-concrete composite beams give full play to the advantages of steel and concrete materials.
In composite beam stiffness calculation, the two materials should be translated into the same material to facilitate the calculation.
The member stress ratios (the actual components stress divide material yield stress) are shown in Table 2.
Journal of Railway Science and Engineering, 2004, 1(1):39-43
Journal of Railway Science and Engineering, 2006, 3(2): 34-38

Since its’ very appearance ,FBGs has gotten popular because of its’ unique advantages, such as small size, light in weight, anti-electromagnetic interference, high stability and corrosion resistance, in addition, this kid of sensor is immune from power fluctuation of source light, Absolute-coding to wave-length ,and is easy to be imbedded into other materials.
What’s more, with the usage of multiplexing technology, such as TDM or WDM, the quasi-distributed sensor network could synchronously accomplish multipoint monitoring of temperature and strains inside materials, which improved the sensibility and accuracy of structure health monitoring in composites.
λB=2n0Λ0 k Where k is the order of the grating. n0 is the refractive index of the core material.
β=0.0129×10-60.550.0103×10-60.50 Through experiments, we can draw the conclusion that the use of dual-wavelength fiber Bragg grating can simultaneously measure temperature and strain of the three-dimensional braided composite materials.
