There is a great interest in alkaline Zn/Ni secondary battery for its attractive advantages of high energy and power density, low-cost materials and so on.
The properties of calcium zincate as negative electrode materials for secondary batteries were studied by cyclic voltammetry, charge–discharge cycle measurements, X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique and thermogravimetric analysis.
For the ZnO, the discharge capacity for the 80th cycle(198.8 mAh) has decreased to 49.2% of that for the first cycle. This suggests that calcium zincate prepared by microwave synthesis method as negative electrode materials for secondary battery exhibits good cycleability.

The nature of the external factors as well as (to a considerable degree) of the internal processes that took place in construction materials upon influence of the external factors causes hardly predictable results of their influence.
In course of oil refining, thermal processes cause abundant problems predetermined by strict technological conditions (high temperatures and pressures) and the nature of the raw materials (oil products of complicated composition and structure).
On the base of the above-described, assessment of damage of construction materials and the whole devices is an urgent task both in the context of ensuring reliability & safe exploitation and determination of the remaining life [1–7].
