In this study, the behavior of nitriding in ultra low carbon steels containing Cr and/or Al and/or V are investigated.
However, the steel containing additional Al (1Cr-1Al-0.3V steel) had an extremely high hardness of 1000Hv and the base steel had the lowest hardness value of 400Hv.
