Research on Integration of Modern Urban Street Space with Underground Space Jingwei Zhaoa, Houli Fub Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Civil Engineering Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Qingdao, Shandong 266510, China azjwzbt@126.com, bfuhouli6619@sina.com Keywords: street, underground space, spatial system, integration, utilization, application Abstract: The further development and utilization of underground space resources by human effectively integrate urban space with underground space and win high space scale benefits.
Therefore, underground streets can be developed to build in urban center prosperous area integrated with the linear form of urban street, i.e. comprehensive underground structures which are built on prosperous business streets of large cities and consist of many shops, pedestrian paths, squares and such other places [4], and Fig. 2 shows the first underground mall of civil air defense (business street) which was developed to build in the space beneath the Jinan Jingsi Road in 1990s.
Fig.2 Underground mall of civil air defense beneath the Jinan Jingsi Road Integration Way of “Road” Space both Beneath and Above the Ground This way focuses on enlarging the urban traffic capacity and improving the urban transportation efficiency by integrating subway lines, underground common trench and underground express way, crosswalk and such other traffic lines to meet the space need of urban municipal facilities.
