Ethanolamine (EA, including MEA, DEA and TEA) is a kind of heat sensitive material.
Equipment materials [5], impurities in raw materials and products [6], the temperature of reaction and the operating conditions of distillation [6] and so on can also make EA be colored.
The phenomenon can also be corroborated by observing the discharging material from MEA tower.
Side-drawn material of MEA tower is MEA product with very low color number and the material drawn from tower bottom is a mixture of DEA and TEA which color number is only 30~40.
