It will narrow the cost gap between the PV power generation and conventional power generation.
2.2 Weaknesses
The production process of PV is of energy intensive and high raw material input.
Due to the constrains of the production technology in China, the average raw material consumption and energy consumption per unit of PV product is higher than the average in the world.
For instance, for producing 1 kg polycrystalline silicon in China, it needs 4 times of energy input, and much more raw material input than that required in the industrial counties, such as 4 times of silicon powder, 13 times of liquefied Chloride (Cl) and 90 times of Hydrogen, etc.

Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) is the most widely used electrolyte material for SOFCs [1].
In SOFC with reduced operating temperature it is preferable to use materials with mixed ion and electron conductivity, such as La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 (LSCF), which offer sufficiently high electron conductivity at 600 °C [2].
But a significant problem of this material is its ability to enter a chemical reaction with YSZ electrolyte at high working temperatures.
