Most material remove methods such as hole drilling, layer removal, and slotting method
remove a certain amount of material [3].
To minimize the amount of material to be removed, in this paper, the optimum depth and position of slot are investigated.
The optimal depth of slots for measuring actual stress is presented to minimize the amount of material to be removed.
Acknowledgement The work presented in this paper was supported by research fund of the National Research Laboratory Program (Project No. 2005-01504) from the Korea Science & Engineering Foundation (KOSEF).

In this paper, the utilization of fly ash in the production of building materials, as a low-cost material is discussed, because it is important for two aspects – ecological and economic.
This fact is very positive - because there are probably no phase changes in time and it is possible to use this secondary raw material as a component in building materials.
This fact is very positive for the application of these fly ashes as components of building materials.
