Introduction X-ray [1] and neutron [2] stress measurements are powerful nondestructive methods to determine the residual stress in crystalline materials.
The tilting oscillation method will be effective for materials with preferred orientation.

In the meantime, the food technology and food industry have also maintained a rapid growth with many new technologies, new materials and new products emerging in endlessly.
However, with the media exposure of the pollution of raw-food materials, abuse of food additives, and substandard food packaging, food safety has drawn more and more attention from various circles of the society.
Focusing on the topics of new materials of food packaging, food packaging safety and traceability, food packaging decoration, food packaging designing and engineering, "2013 China Academic Conference on Food Packaging" invited Professor Luciano Piergiovanni from the Department of Food, Environmental and Nutritional Sciences of University of Milan, Associate Professor Ngamtip Poovarodom from the Department of Packaging and Materials Technology of Kasetsart University, Professor MA Yongjun from School of Computer Science and Information Engineering of Tianjin University of Science and Technology to make keynote speeches respectively, namely "Research on Application of Nano Bio-based Materials in Functional Packaging", "Safety and Regulations: The Challenges for Food Packaging", and "Technology of Internet of Things and Its Application in Food Safety".
The conference received more than 180 papers, including 3 keynote speeches and 100 excellent papers which were all published in Applied Mechanics and Materials.

Introduction Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) have a sandwich structure, consisting of two facial panels commonly made of high-density and strong materials, such as the oriented strand board (OSB) and plywood, and low-density insulation materials, such as polyurethane (PUR), expanded polystyrene (EPS) and extruded polyurethane(XPS).
In the popularization of a new type of building materials or building structural system, considerations should be given to both economic benefit and the environmental sustainability.

Synthesis and Humidity Controlling Behaviors of Kaolinite/Polyacrylic Acid Composite Wang Jihui , Sun Hongye and Ren Shuping School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tianjin University;Tianjin Key Laboratory of Composite and Functional Materials,Tianjin 300072, P.
Since the concept of humidity controlling materials was proposed by Japanese scientist in 1949, the humidity controlling behaviors and mechanism of different kind of materials were investigated and determined.
As for inorganic mineral materials such as montmorillonite, kaolinite, zeolite and sepiolite, the adsorption capacity of these materials is only several percent, and cannot be greatly enhanced by surface modification [3, 4].
