New Heat Flux Model in Surface Grinding
L.
The heat generated in the grinding zone plays an important role in the phase transformation that would alter the residual stress formation and surface integrity of work materials.
Rectangle heat flux model and triangle heat flux model have been used to calculate the grinding heat in international journal papers.
ξ and u are non-dimensional parameters. oa is rectangle heat flux profile and the length is a. aL is Materials Science Forum Vols. *** 299 triangle heat flux profile. oL is the grinding zone and the length is L. b is the location of triangle heat flux apex.
The work material is steel AISI 1020 [6].

The electrochemical methods were employed to investigate the Ni/Si-MCP materials.
The nanostructure materials, including nanoparticles (NPs) carbon nanotubes (CNTs), and nanowires (NWs) have become an attractive materials in electrochemistry and been used as the substrates of catalyst extensively [18-20] due to the outstanding feature of high surface to volume ratio.

Introduction
The wide distribution of microorganisms in the geological environment, the diversity of their types and metabolic pathways determine the study of the possibility of using bacterial carbonatogenesis for directional changes in the structure and properties of materials [1].

Introduction
The tremendous non-biodegradable plastic wastes discarded each year has caused serious environmental pollution which lead to develop alternative biodegradable packaging materials.
However, pure gelatin films are brittle, highly hydrophilic [6] which limit its possible applications and constitute the main shortcoming of gelatin as a material.

At the meeting attention was not only devoted to science: "The EPDIC
Committee" was founded there to serve the interests of the powder diffractionists in Europe.
The pronounced impact of the EPDJC meetings can be derived from: - the large number of attendants, and, related to that, - the great interest of industry to participate, also as exhibitors, and - the success of the proceedings that appear as a series in the journal Materials Science Forum.
Part 1, presents not onl y the papers devoted to developments in the methods and techniques of powder diffraction -as until now-, but also -and this is new- a part of the chapter on the results of applications of powder-diffraction methods to specific classes of materials; the second book, i.e.
Reviewing the proceedings of EPDTC-1, -2, -3, -4, -5 and -6 the ratios of the numbers of papers on developments in the methods and techniques of powder diffraction and those on applications of powder-diffraction methods to specific classes of materials are fo und to be I, 0.7, 0.5, I, 0.9 and 0.5.
The chapter "Characteri zation of thin layers" - that appeared in the EPDIC-5 proceedings as a section of Chapter l "Method Development"- has now been transformed to a section of chapter VII "Materials", because all papers concerned focus on specific materials.
