The development of materials for tissue engineering aimed to design biomimetic materials that can modulate specific cellular responses and direct cell to specific lineages.
Mechanical and chemical properties of materials are considered to be the most important parameters that can be used to modulate cell behaviors.

Material properties.
To the nonprestress beam, at early stages of loading, it can be observed that the tensile steel and CFRP strains are essentially the same, indicating effective composite action of different materials.
To the prestress beams, it can be observed that the tensile steel and CFRP strains are very closely, indicating effective composite action of different materials from the beginging of loading to failure.
