As a new type of material, Glass Fiber Polymer-Soil nailing (GFP-SN) can replace the steel to be applied in the slope support, excavation support and other civil engineering.
GFP-SN is a new kind of material formed with resin and glass fiber compound.
Light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and so on, all are properties of GFP-SN, which mean that steel can be replaced by GFP-SN as new material to reinforced soil nailing[1].
Currently, GFP-SN, as a new type of composite material, has drawn more and more attention from researchers.

Fabrication and Properties of Al2O3-SiC/Sialon Composite Refractories

Sialon powder was synthesized using low grade bauxite as raw materials by carbothermal reduction-nitridation reaction.
Developing the superior performance of carbon free refractory materials becomes the focus of the current research.
In this paper, Sialon powders were synthesized using low grade bauxite as raw materials.
The raw materials were mixed in determined ratio by ball-milling for 24h with agate balls using ethanol as the medium.
