The effect of fibre type and fibre amount on physico-mechanical properties of slurry infiltrated fibre concrete (SIFCON) at both quasi-static and dynamic load was evaluated experimentally.
Mechanical properties of materials are different under impact loading compared to static loading [1].
It possesses excellent mechanical properties coupled with very good energy-absorption characteristics.
Two specimens reinforced with fibres with the same geometry but different tensile strength were used to assess the influence of the fibre mechanical properties on the impact behaviour of the whole composite.

Finally key factors for preparing wide Nb42Ni40Co18 amorphous alloy ribbon have been proposed.
Thermal properties of the samples were examined by a TA-Q600 differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) instrument and SII DSC-6300 differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) instrument under the protection of purified Ar gas.
During the fabrication process, many factors would affect the morphology and quality of the ribbons.
(1) Property of the alloy, such as the melting point, viscosity etc.
Conclusion The optimum overheat, nozzle dimension, distance between nozzle and the rolling wheel, injection time and so on were the key factors that affected the morphology and quality of the prepared amorphous ribbon of the Nb42Ni40Co18 alloy.

Fatigue properties were determined in flexural bending in the range 10 4 to 10 7 cycles.
Introduction It is well known that fine grain size improves properties such as tensile strength, impact toughness and fatigue strength, and therefore improving the mechanical properties of metals and alloys by refining the grain size has been a challenging effort during several decades.
Anyhow, particularly in high cycle regime, as tested here, the initiation stage is a major fraction of fatigue life (more than 90%, see Figures 6-7), and therefore factors affecting it are more important.
Compressive residual stresses are an additional factor on fatigue resistance, especially in high cycle region, where structures with surface compressive stresses have been shown to have superior fatigue properties [21, 22, 26].
However, the chemical compositions of the steels are also somewhat different affecting sensitively the stability of the austenite phase.

And the effects of the ratio of UF resin and blocked isocyanate, hybrid method and the additive on the properties of the plywood were also studied.
UF resin and isocyanate curing manner, directly affecting the bonding strength and formaldehyde emission of plywood.
Based on an overall consideration of various factors, we plan to choose 5% of blocked isocyanate.
The results of this study demonstrated that the water-resistance and mechanical properties particleboard improved with increasing of melamine intensity.
Conclusions In this work, the physical properties of plywood by UF resins and blocked isocyanate were investigated.

However, drillability of fiber metal laminates is critical due to the heterogeneous thermal and mechanical properties of the metal and composite that form the laminate.
Introduction The need to expand the range of mechanical, chemical and physical properties of materials to meet emerging technological needs has led to the development of composite materials.
However, drillability of FMLs is known to be critical due to the heterogeneous thermal and mechanical properties of the materials that form the laminate [10].

Investigate the effect of several key factors on the forming force.
Forging wheels have better mechanical properties and less internal defects than casting wheels, so more and more high-level cars and buses choose the former[1-2].
The factors on Rotary forging force There exists a angle between the spindle of the upper die and the lower die of rotary forging press.
There are many factors affecting of die forging force.
So in the process of forming, the change of die temperature is the main factors to influence the forming force.

Investigation of Wear Properties of Al-4.5wt.
Extensive work have been carried out on AMCs to improve their mechanical and tribological properties because of the potential for reduced weight and increased service life in many applications.
It is important to note that a homogeneous distribution of the reinforcing particles is essential for achieving the improved properties.
The aim is to study the effects of size and weight fraction of the TiC particles on the hardness and sliding wear properties of the composites.
