Introduction Iron tailings, often stacked in tailing ponds, are the salvaged materials discarded by dressing plants after refining useful constituent out of iron ores.
In previous researches, the theory of iron tailings utilization in building materials is comparatively mature.
Therefore, application of tailing on roadbase or subbase can significantly reduce cost of road materials(30% lowwer) and has a promising market prospect.

To the rock, the mechanics characteristic is confined by many condition such as the rock characteristic material component, condition of forming rock etc., especially to the soft rock, because there’re the holes, fractures, cementation degree is bad, water content is big, when the out stress condition changes, the rock characteristic changes obviously.
