However, those analyses paid attention on the dynamic responses of the structures with given seismic waves observed at the ground surface and there is nearly no glimpse about the propagation of seismic waves from underground engineering bedrock to the ground surface.
The acceleration is input equally in the horizontal direction to all nodes on the bottom surface of the ground corresponding to engineering bedrock.

The first application of high strength steel is in the petrochemical, aerospace, naval ships and other mechanical engineering; such steels is usually on the basis of ordinary carbon steel by adding micro alloy element, in order to achieve the high strength, also good toughness, corrosion resistance and weld ability according the heat treatment or hot-rolled state, which is generally known as high-strength low-alloy steel, also known as micro-alloy high strength steel.
Although the high-strength construction steel has been gradually adopted in our country, it is not yet included in civil design of steel structures.
The experimental results may be useful to the constructive engineering design considering low temperature brittle fracture using the high-strength steel.
