Introduction
Over the past two decades most work in the field of polymer electrolytes has dealt with
monovalent ions, in particular, with lithium ions [1, 2] because of several advantages such as high
energy density accruing to devices incorporating lithium anodes, and the relative ease of reversible
intercalation of L
+ in a range of cathode materials.
These results suggests that the presence of Al2O3 has enhanced the ionic nature of the material.
This increase may indicate the possibility of some copper ion (Cu 2+/Cu +) conductivity in the filler-free material.
