Introduction With the development of information technology and material science, it is possible now to get the multi-functional and intelligent cement-based materials.
The carbon fiber, as a conductive phase, could be dispersed in cement-based materials and thus got carbon fiber reinforced cement based composite materials (CFRC for short).
Fig. 1 showed the sensitivity of the CFRC materials.
So the damage of the CFRC materials could be monitored.

The use of ceramic composite materials in aerospace applications requires the development of oxidization protection coatings which can withstand very high temperatures.
Introduction Cf/SiC and SiCf/SiC composite materials (CMCs) and ceramic multilayers with the functionalities of oxidation and abrasion resistance, thermal protection and low friction are candidate materials for space vehicle thermal protection systems, air intake ramps and control surfaces for hypersonic flight vehicles, and moveable aerospace bearing systems [1, 2, 3].

FRP are ideal materials to produce bolts, and to replace steel bar in civil and geotechnical engineering prospects (Yuan Yong et al., 2004).
Here, the modified pullout tests were conducted on selected GFRP bars and steel ones, which were grouted with mortar in concrete blocks. 24 specimens were tested with different bond lengths, bar diameters, bar materials, and kinds of mortar.
