The results suggest that Ca was first dissolved from the materials surface and then gradually deposited back to the forming skeletal structure.

In this work the La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O3-d composition was synthesized by a soft chemistry route seeking for a more homogeneous microstructure.
The main purpose was to evaluate the effect of the sintering method on the structure and ionic conductivity of the sintered pellets prepared with chemically homogeneous powders.
The X-ray diffraction patterns (Fig. 1) of all sintered pellets exhibit only the diffraction peaks (indicated by *) of the orthorhombic structure (Imma space group) characteristic of this composition.

Synthesis and Characterization of ALaFeNi0.5W0.5O6 (A= Sr or Ca), a New Structure Distorted Double Perovskite A.
Substitution of different ions on each site is readily accepted making the perovskite structure type one of the most frequently encountered in solid-state inorganic chemistry.
Phosphorus and the noble gases are also not observed in the perovskite structure.
The ideal perovskite structure is composed of a three dimensional network of regular corner-linked MX6 octahedra.
The crystal structures belong to the tetragonal I 4/m space group.
