Sapphire can be used as optical materials and LED substrate materials, which is widely used in aerospace, national defense and other fields.
This process will accelerate removing surface materials and achieve the purpose of high material removal rate.
When polishing pad materials are harder than the reaction products, reaction layer can be removed.
In this period, material surface absorbs photons and converts into heat energy, materials will melt and flow from high curvature areas to the low curvature areas.

This was the way that used for considering of the failure resistance of materials [4].
The hardness property of materials was defined as the retardation of permanent plastic deformation.
Although this hysteresis phenomena are still complicating for materials characterization.
