A Method to Establish 3-D Finite Element Geological Model Based on DEM Data Ming-zhu GUO 1, a , Feng-xian ZHAO1, b ,Ya-kun WANG 1, c 1The College of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing, China agmz@bjut.edu.cn, bzhaofengxian1227@126.com, c594prince@sina.com Keywords:DEM data,3-D Geological Model,Finite element,Numerical simulation of seismic wave.
Introduction In seismic engineering, the established models mostly are the man-made entities, but in reality, many earthquake of seismic wave propagation is carried out in the complex terrain, such as Wenchuan earthquake, Lushan earthquake are occurred in the mountains, dense of staggered valleys in complex terrain.
Establish the finite element model ANSYS is a finite element software which is widely used in the field of civil engineering.
