It can be seen from the results, the safety factor of the most dangerous point of CRH3 EMU wheel type is 1.376, to meet fatigue life requirements, which provide a theoretical basis for the safety maintenance of the EMU.
During the EMU high-speed development, the problems of wheel fatigue life perform more and more prominent, to ensure the train’s traffic safety, it is necessary for the reliability and fatigue life of the wheel to get more demanding, to start the study of fatigue strength of the CRH3 EMU wheel in China is very necessary.
Distribution of wheel safety factor is shown in Figure 4.
Fatigue safety factor of the wheel is above 1.376, which can meet the requirements of the fatigue life.
