Some new microcracks may occur and develop at the direction parallel to the Key Engineering Materials Vols. 203 surface.
It conforms to some researchers' results of theoretical analysis about indentation processes theory of brittle materials that high compressive strain zone occurs near the cutting tool tip.

Among them, the molecular level understanding of the formation of solids in biological systems has provided inspiration for the controlled formation of novel inorganic materials.
Protein shells can be used for the size dependent encapsulation of non-native materials.
These supramolecular structures represent novel reaction vessels for the synthesis of inorganic materials with controlled dimensions.

If the fly ash replaces the clinker in the cement or concrete mixture, the properties of the fresh and hardened material are affected.
It is important due to the ever increasing requirement from society for saving material and energy and durability of structures monitoring long-term behavior of such modified material.

The results show that the block stones are main part of material of Suo Duoxi deposit and sandwiches gravel soils, but it is different from other four zones that the zone Ⅱ takes gravel with less viscous as the skeleton and mixed up with uneven sizes and irregularly shape stones.
However, it is still somewhat rare about the study from aspects of material composition and genesis of deposit.
Compared with slope structure of both side of bank, both of which have better consistency, and thus prove the right bank materials in zone Ⅱ come from the left bank.
As a whole, substance structure of deposit are mainly stones and contain a spot of gravel soils, however, the material structure of zoneⅡ takes the gravels with poor viscous as skeleton and be mixed up with uneven sizes, irregular shape stones and well sorted from top to bottom. 2.

The results showed that the properties of different ceramic materials cause the difference in wear behaviors.
Because of these advantages of ceramic materials, their usages are increasing in wide engineering applications.
Materials and experimental procedure The bearings steels are made of M50 materials.
It was clearly indicated that the friction behaviors of tribopairs under vacuum condition depended on the materials and loads.
Conclusions Wear tests were conducted on three structural ceramics ball materials including Si3N4, SiC and ZrO2 with M50 disk.

For crystalline metallic materials the “J cut” is performed 1 µm away from the trenches walls (Fig. 3.c) For amorphous materials and especially for Ga containing amorphous materials the “J cut” of the lamella should be done 2…3 µm away from the walls and at least 2.5 µm wide (Fig. 3.d).

High qualified scrap steel and pig iron are used as raw materials.
To ensure the quality of atomized powder, more attention should be paid to control the chemical composition of the raw materials strictly.
