This is the first attempt to build the wall cracking performance function from the point of fracture mechanics, , the use of K criterion of quasi-brittle materials, to establish the wall formula for calculating the reliability that wall cracks caused by the role of the shrinkage.

Photovoltaic solar modules commonly are attached to some reinforcement materials on the back side of the modules to protect the modules from strong wind.
In the case of bifacial photovoltaic solar modules, sunlight received on the back side reduces because a part of the back side of the module is shaded by the reinforcement materials, and the output of the module dramatically reduces.
It is considered that this approach can also be applied to calculate the output characteristics of every shaded conditions and design of reinforcement materials of the back side of a bifacial photovoltaic solar module.
