On the other hand, the large scale general finite element analysis (FEA) softwares, such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, ADINA, etc., although have the powerful computational abilities, but can’t be applied directly to the architecturalstructure analysis and design, due to the fact that their preprocessors are inconvenient for building modeling and their postprocessors can’t present computational results according to the building structure specifications, say, the civil codes and the custom of engineering.
Structure modeling Transformation to FE model FE analysis Calculation according to civil codes From PKPM, YJK, MIDAS, ETABS, etc.
The other codes mainly consist of the auxiliary FEA kernel and the post-processor, which would sort-out in statistics the calculated data results according tostructural engineering and present reports for the engineers.
And finally, the computational results would be recalculated and sorted-out according to the engineering requirements. So using this integrated system, HPS for the complex building are not so profound and complicated as before.

Abstract.
Structural health monitoring of civil infrastructures using dynamic properties has received significant recent attention by researchers in which identification of the global dynamic properties using vibration responses is a necessary step.
Although techniques based on forced excitations have long been used in several engineering fields as reliable means to obtain modal properties, the use of these tests is not generally feasible in civil engineering applications like bridges due to safety concerns and the massive size of the structures [1].
The effectiveness of NExT has been demonstrated through the identification of structural modal parameters in various types of civil structures using ambient vibrations.

Preface
This edition contains the selected articles from the 6th International Conference on Numerical Modelling in Engineering (NME 2023).
Numerical Modelling in Engineering NME 2023 is the 6th NME meeting which was held in Ghent, Belgium, during the period 29-31 August 2023.
The overall objective of the conference is to bring together international scientists and engineers in academia and industry in fields related to advanced numerical techniques, such as FEM, BEM, IGA, etc., and their applications in a wide range of engineering disciplines.
The conference covers industrial engineering applications of numerical simulations in Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, etc.
The organising committee is grateful to keynote speaker Professor Lihua Wang, School of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mechanics, Tongji University, Shanghai, China, for her very interesting keynote speech entitled ‘Meshfree Stabilized Collocation Method (SCM): theory, algorithm and applications of solid, fluid and fluid-structure interaction problems’, and to keynote speaker Professor Magd Abdel Wahab, for his keynote speech ‘Numerical Modelling of Fretting Fatigue’.
