The materials investigated here are three types of PTFE self-lubricating spherical plain bearing carried out at room temperature.
The overview of test bearing materials can be seen in table 1.
Figure 3(e,f) shows the liner of bearing III has been severely damaged and the surface layer of woven materials has been worn away, the woven patterns of liner no longer existing.

Under normal circumstances, it is being abraded gradually; the main reason of abrading is the grinding force, the metamorphism of filter materials and chemical corrosion which result from high temperature.

Since some filter materials have poor antioxidant ability, when they contact the gas in high oxygen content, they will be oxygenated which lead to intensity weakened and fracture.

[η]-allowable fatigue strength safety factor is [η]=1.4-1.7,with medium material and processing quality and lower calculation accuracy.
[η]-allowable fatigue strength safety factor is [η]=1.7-3, with uneven material especially when the limit of size is large, and low calculation precision.
Different loading methods produce different stress change rule, and the ultimate stress of asymmetric loop materials depends on the different loading methods, or on different stress change rule.
