Introduction
Composite materials, due to their high strength/weight ratio, have been extensively used not only in
aerospace industry but also in marine and automotive industries.
In some of the applications, the composite materials may be subjected to high strain rate loading, and thus investigating the high strain rate responses is becoming an essential task.

Abstract.
However, although many NCs and dielectric materials systems have been fabricated and some of them show good potential in nonvolatile memory application, there are few articles about how to control the size and density of the NCs.

Thus, the search for renewable materials and unconventional energy sources has become a world priority [1].
With growing deforestation and pressure on native tropical forests, as well as on reforestation areas, it becomes increasingly necessary to search for renewable materials and alternative solutions capable of mitigating this process, at least in part.
Field and lab work was done in the Bamboo and Wood Experimentation Laboratory and the Civil Construction Materials Laboratory.
Bamboo's physical-mechanical characteristics were elaborated by studying the simple material (laminated strips) and the composite material (glue laminated bamboo - glubam).
Bamboo Science and Culture; The Journal of the American Bamboo Society. v.18(1): p.7-18, (2004)

Chemical composition of the parent material is summarized in Table 1.
Two different filler materials - commercial (bainitic) and newly developed (martensitic) metal cored wires were used for welding.
Two filler materials were chosen for preparation of the test welds having quite different chemical composition, namely, different Cr and Ni content and phase transformation temperatures.
