Abstract The effect of an divalent electrolyte Ca2+ on the flocculation of two different concentrations of anionic surfactant Sodium Dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) with Al3+ has been investigated at different molar ratios Al3+ to SDBS at 298.15 K.
Experimental Section Materials and Instruments CyberScan pH 1500 bench meter (accuracy, 0.01 pH units); Nanoparticle size and Zeta Potential Analyzer (ZETASIZER nano series Nano-ZS90, Malvern instruments); K12 processor tensiometer (Germany, Krüss Co.; the precise degree of measurement is 0.01 mN·m−1); Sodium Dodecylbenzenesulfonate (AR, 95%, TOKYO KASEI KOGYO CO. , LTD); AlCl3 • 6H2O (AR, 97%, China); CaCl2 (AR, 96%, China); All solution are prepared for pure water (conductivity 0.0157 us·cm-1, zeta potential 0.00202 mv).
