Materials and Methods In order to investigate the revascularization process, a three-dimensional model of the stenting system of stent, plaque and artery in their unexpanded configurations was developed (Fig.1).
The above parameters were got by tensile tests on 316L stainless steel wires, which have the same composition as the stent, with universal materials test machine (M-100, Japan).
So the hyper-elastic material model was only chosen for the artery in this work.
It should be demonstrated that more work should be done to determine the exact material model and material parameters for the atherosclerotic plaque.
