Eddy currents induced by stimulation current has a skin depth based on skin effect in homogeneous material, which can be calculated by Eq. 3

The results show that there is material transfer due to arc erosion while breaking arc and closing bounce.
Therefore, easing the arc erosion and decreasing the material transfer is necessary for increasing the life of relay.
