Indeed, cerium nanoparticles have been extensively studied owing their many distinctive characteristics and applications such as catalyst in the fuel cell technology [1], gas sensor [2], transition from boundary diffusion to lattice diffusion [3], blue shift in ultraviolet spectra [4], glass polishing material [5], catalytic wet oxidation [6,7], photo catalytic oxidation of water [8].
However, the expensive precursor materials, complicated reaction mechanisms, several conditions such as the higher temperature, pressure and the longer reaction time restrict the use of sol-gel and hydrothermal methods.
