Introduction Niobium and niobium compounds have been widely used in the steel,aerospace,electronics industry and other fields because of their high strength,high hardness,high melting point and strong stability.The low-grade niobium ore from Bayan Obo in Baotou is the main raw material for the extraction of niobium ,which contains large quantities of Fe and trace amount of Nb, Re and so on highly valued elements.
