Even modern cutting materials cannot provide a combination of hardness and toughness that is capable of preventing this sort of tool failure.
Interrupted machining processes pose special design requirements for processes, tools and tool-materials.
The objective of current studies was to develop a simulation model that can predict the damping properties of different materials and thus provide foundational knowledge for an optimal material selection.
Mastercurves as shown in Fig. 7 using the example of PET were derived for all examined materials.

Introduction Chromium plating is a procedure for coating metal materials of various bases: steel, titanium alloys, nickel alloys, etc. [1, 2].
In [16], iodine was used to obtain coatings on a number of inorganic powder materials; however, it was not used for diffusion saturation of steel.
The roughness of coatings and raw materials was determined with a Mitutoyo SJ-201p profilometer.

Introduction The aerogels are the thinnest, lightest, and lowest density solids discovered in the materials science field.
In addition, it enables the development of nanocomposites containing organic and inorganic materials with the sol-gel method [8].
It is seen that nanocomposites have better properties compared to traditional composite materials.
Due to their high area / volume ratio, they have properties such as the interface area where matrix materials and reinforcing materials are in contact with each other.
Materials and Methods Materials For the synthesis of the Silica aerogel, it has been used Sodium Silicate Solution (Na2SiO3), Hydrochloric acid (HCl), Methanol (MeOH), n-hexane (C₆H₁₄), Silane (SiH4), and pure water from Istanbul Commerce University Nanotechnology Lab.

These techniques find applications in delamination detection in composite materials and crack detection in metals and advanced alloys.
In this study, electrical insulation tape was employed [10] although a range of other couplant materials (paper, copper sheet, teflon) can also be employed.
