Research on Fracture-CMOD Toughness of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Xiaowei Wang 1,2, a, Wenling Tian 1,2, Lingling Fan 1, Mingjie Zhou 1,2, and Xiaoyan Zhao 1,2 1 School of Civil Engineering, Hebei University of Technology, Tianjin300401, China 2 Hebei Research Center of Civil Engineering Technology, Tianjin300401, China awangxw0424@163.com Keywords: Steel fiber; Concrete; Fracture toughness; Crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) Abstract.
The fracture toughness after cracking of SFRC demonstrates more fully the ability in cracking resistance of steel fiber, and the energy dissipation after cracking is more emphasized in the actual project. So the postcracking fracture toughness being used to evaluate the toughness of SFRC is more suitable for engineering needs.
To sum up, the postcracking fracture toughness being used to evaluate the toughness of SFRC is more suitable for engineering.
(1) The Fracture-CMOD toughness index is ffectively avoid the estimation error of the initial cracking point led to the evaluation error of the toughness, and it is more suitable for engineering
