Introduction As the key component of large-scale Continuous Rolling Mill for strip and plate, oil-film bearing involves the following structural parameters such as bearing diameter, bearing width, babbit alloy material and its thickness, relative clearance and lubricating oil, all these parameters play important role in the improvement of load-carrying capacity and service life.
From the above comprehensive analysis and according to the material fatigue strength theory, the most influential factors to bearing life involve oil-film pressure and temperature.
