Introduction Cellular materials can dissipate a large amount of kinetic energy at nearly constant stress during large deformation.
They can serve as effective and efficient energy absorbers to mitigate impact/blast loading if the base materials are properly selected and morphology of microstructures is well designed.
It can be seen that SKYDEX® has a similar performance with egg-box and woven textile materials, and outperforms aluminum foams.

Introduction In any manufacturing activity, machine tools are used as a device for shaping or to form parts that are made of metal or other materials.
Two balls of steel and glass with dissimilar materials of same diameter of 5mm were used.

Material Nonlinearity. The material nonlinearity of structure there is described by nonlinear constitutive relationships of material.
The maximum compressive stress in concrete slab and the maximum tensile stress in stay cables are lower than the ultimate strength of both materials in all load cases.

The building materials do not need to burn and raw-soil of the building come back to tract as fertilizer when the house is dismantled.
National Science and Technology Commission list the research of adobe building as a national research project in 1958, then universities and research institutes of Xi'an worked on a number of adobe materials.
The study is deficiency of adding other materials into soil to modify performance of raw-soil structure.
The territory of China is broad, so it is different selecting admixtures with soil and other building materials with raw-soil structure.
More types of soil, different materials mixed and different construction conditions make a larger difference in the performance of bearing wall.
