Keywords: Modulus of elasticity, fracture parameters, core based specimen, three-point bending, chevron type notch.
The contemporary engineering practise is usually limited to used only the elastic and strength characteristics which can be derived from ‘simple’ compressive tests to characterize the structural concrete.
Fig. 1 Scheme of three-point bending fracture test of chevron notched core based concrete specimen Fig. 2 Illustration of selected three-point bending fracture test of chevron notched core based concrete specimen in laboratory of Institute of Building Testing at Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology The above mentioned recorded diagrams together with information about specimen dimensions, cross-section and initial notch are use as input data for below described academic software CheF.
