Introduction Slake Durability Index test which was firstly developed by Chandra [1] and then improved by Franklin & Chandra [2] is being widely used in rock mechanics, engineering geology and the selection and evaluation of natural building material.
The slake durability test was suggested as a standard test for rocks by the International Society of Rock Mechanics [5] and also by the American Society for Testing and Materials [6].

So it is believed that the research and development of these alloys with excellent properties will attract increasing attention of the materials researchers and the foundry men [2-4].
Experimental material has high ultimate tensile strength Rm - 247 MPa in as-cast state after rapid cooling.
In the experimental material the presence of the Fe impurity enables the crystallization of acicular plate-like phase Al5FeSi (about the size 80 -100 µm) (Fig. 3b) during solidification, even though the Fe content is low (0.15 %) in a melt.

Introduction The fiber reinforced composite materials are used widely in aerospace applications and various machine components because of their high strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratios as compared with many traditional metallic materials.
Thus by reducing the material stiffnesses by a certain amount, we account by the loss of stiffness [7].
The material and geometrical characteristics of analyzed specimen are shown, respectively, in Table 1 and in Fig. 1 [9].

Setting material properties:The material of bit body is carbon steel, material density is 7.8 × 106 g/mm3, elastic modulus E is 2.1 × 1011 N/m2, Poisson ratio μ is 0.28, the yield strength is 2.21 × 108 N/m2 .The materia of tooth carbide is hard alloy, the yield strength is 6.2 × 108 N/m2.
Based on the model geometry and default material properties, the program can estimate the solution time.
The node 23027 of step 2 ‘s maximum stress is 2.51 × 108 N/m2 in 1039μs,beyond the yield stress of 2.21 × 108 N/m2.It will not influence the material when the stress beyonds the material yield stress instantly , but when the drill falling on the ground periodically, where the fracture will be occured firstly. So the step 2 is more easily to be fractured than the other steps.

Influence of nanoscaled SiO2 particles on the pervaporation performance of PDMS membranes Rui Mana, Xinhua Dengb School of Material Science and Engineering, Tianjin Polytechnic University, Tianjin, 300387, China amanruilove@163.com, bdengxinhua@tjpu.edu.cn Keywords: polydimethylsiloxane (103-PDMS); propylene glycol methyl ether (PGME); nanoscaled silica particles; pervaporation performances.
Due to its special polymer structure having both inorganic and organic structures, PDMS membrane is a novel kind of membrane materials, which could be used as organic permselective membranes[1,7].
Especially, from Fig. 9, when the weight ratios of major material (103-silastic:PMTSi:SiO2) is 100:4:0.20, the agglomerated particles appeared on the surface heavily, and the size of agglomerated particles was larger many times than the single nanoscaled SiO2 particle.
When the weight ratios of major material (103-silastic:PMTSi:SiO2) is 100:4:0.08, the α of 103-PDMS membranes can reach to 17.64, and its J was 31.82 g•m-2•h-1.

Low temperature plasma modified fiber materials with multiply effects, such as surface etching, cross linking and initiating grafting.
Experimental Materials and chemicals.
Reference to Chinese national patent “A method and device for testing the temperature-sensitivity of thermal-smart textiles” [9] which covers the measurement of the water permeability at different temperatures—the rate of water flowing perpendicular through a known area under a constant pressure between two surface of a material, we can detect the thermal-sensitivity by the variation of water permeation time.
