Analytical model
The analytical model based on material is usually fiber section model.
The accuracy of a fiber section model is almost entirely depended on the ability of constitutive material models to represent the overall inelastic behavior of the member.

As the energy of surface acoustic waves (SAW) almost concentrates closely to the surface within one wave length, the lower frequency SAW are prone to be affected by the substrate, while the higher are dominated by the material properties close to the surface [3].
In order to attain thin films’ properties and even to investigate “higher order” propagating surface modes (Sezawa) with different velocities in layered materials, it’s necessary to work with high frequency acoustic waves [4].

Meanwhile, SKD-11 (JIS) (90 x 60 mm and 10 mm) with 55HRC hardness was used as the workpiece material.
A jig was prepared help set and clamp the workpiece material during drilling operations.
This is related to the heat generated on the drill, dynamic behavior, and material removal rate that occurred during drilling operation [4, 6].

In order to analysis the feasibility of cancelling setting invert, 3 kinds of models are set as following:
Model 1: ordinary flat-bottom tunnel model
Model 2: inverted tunnel model
Model 3: flat-bottomed tunnel (Grouting bolts bellow the tunnel and pouring C25 concrete on the bottom tunnel where digs out 20cm-thickness original rock)
Surrounding rock uses HowkBrown models, and the remaining material uses a linear elastic constitutive relation.
