In order to find out the
characteristics of concrete sawing and improve the application and manufacturing of diamond
sawblade for civil engineering, the sawing mechanism, forces, thermodynamic analysis of different
concrete especially reinforced concrete in dry cutting process were investigated [1-4].
Different structures for reducing vibration and noise of diamond blade in civil engineering had been reviewed in Ref.[6,7].

Effect of Stress Distribution on Fatigue Life of Tubular Joints in Offshore
Engineering
Shao Yong-Bo
School of Civil Engineering, Yantai University, P.
China E-mail: cybshao@ytu.edu.cn Keywords: Tubular joints, Fatigue life, Stress distribution, Surface crack, Stress intensity factor Abstract: In the assessment of fatigue life of tubular joints in offshore engineering, hot spot stress range, in conventional method, is frequently used to predict the number of cycles that a tubular joint can sustain before failure from corresponding S-N curves.
Introduction In offshore engineering, tubular joints are widely encountered to be used as supporting structures.

Abstract.
Introduction With the social needs and engineering applications increasing, the complex long-span steel structures have been widely used in major sports venues, theaters, convention and exhibition center, airport terminals, various industrial plants and other buildings [1].
In recent years, objective optimization problem analysis methods based on energy criterion in civil engineering has been applied, especially in the hoisting scheme has been applied to optimization [4-6].
