Fiber composite insulator structure and sensing principle The optical fiber composite insulator inserts optical with fiber Bragg gratings in the fiberglasses which are the production material of insulator mandrel in the process of making insulator mandrel. For the material of insulator mandrel and optical fiber are both fiberglasses, the compatibility of insulator mandrel and optical fiber is good,so the mechanical properties of the insulator mandrel can not be affected by inserted fiber too much.

This means that the material have sufficiently high capacity to hold CO2 before saturation.
Beyond this limit, the pores of the support material are severely clogged, making the adsorption sites inaccessible for CO2 capture.
