This research gap often leads engineers to overestimate structural loads, due to lack of information, resulting in inefficient designs.
The research emphasizes a cross-disciplinary approach, integrating methods from structural, electrical, and medical engineering.
Grobler also received financial support from ViKO Consulting Engineers.

Project profile In Shanxi, there is a steel structure engineering.
The items of detection and identification Based on the testing purpose and process reconstruction needs, field testing mainly includes structure appearance census, structure system review, structure or component geometry check and settlement deformation observation and so on. 3.1 appearance census Through the field detection, we know that the building main body is in good condition, component occur deformation, part of the support and beam cross section, there exist certain degree of damage, member joint exist bolt shortage, and building local is serious corrosive. 3.2 the review of structure system According to the steel structure engineering construction quality acceptance specification (GB50205-2001) the first article 11.2.1: axis positioning buildings, infrastructure on the positioning of column and elevation axes, anchor bolt (anchor) specifications and position, anchor bolt (anchor) fastening should comply with the design requirements.
