After the flood control project is completed, the living and work environment of the people on both sides of the river can be greatly improved; during the flood season, it's not necessary to employ great manpower and material resources for flood control; meanwhile, it can reduce the possibility of collapse of buildings, casualties, and industrial and agricultural production halts and reduction of output caused by the flood disaster, so it is a powerful guarantee for the social stability and prosperity of Yibin.
