Abstract: The various damage mechanisms in 3D-C/SiC composites are identified using acoustic
emission (AE) signal parameters, and the Felicity effect is studied on different unloading stress.
Therefore, Felicity ratio may be more suitable to reflect the damage level, for 3D-C/SiC composite materials, the stress that 60% of strength is proposed as the engineering design value of strength.
