Abstract: This paper describes the use of a printing circuit technology to generate hydrophilic channels in a filter paper. Pattern was first designed using Protel soft, and printed on a blank paper. Then, the pattern was transferred on a sheet copper using a thermal transfer printer. The sheet copper with pattern was dipped in a ferric trichloride solution to etch the whole pattern of the sheet copper. At last, the etched sheet copper was coated with paraffin, then with a filter paper and heated at the other side of the sheet copper with an electric iron. The melting paraffin penetrated full thickness of the filter paper and formed a hydrophobic “wall”. Colorimetric assays for the presence of protein and glucose were demonstrated in the paper-based device. The work is helpful for researching paper-based microfluidic devices for monitoring health and detecting disease.

Abstract: In this article, the mechanism of the effects of nano-TiO2 on the properties of automotive topcoat is discussed. Based on the original thought that nano-TiO2 may improve the aging property, a research is carried out into the effects of nano-TiO2 on the properties of automotive topcoat, and the formulation design of nano-TiO2 coating is optimized. The coating properties such as glossiness, adhesion, resisting impact strength, hardness, water fastness and resistance to aging are measured by experiments. The results show that with 1.0~2.0 percent of nano-TiO2 content, the aging resistance of the coating increases by approximaSubscript texttely 20 percent with higher glossiness, while adhesion, impact strength, hardness and water fastness are not meaningfully improved.

Abstract: The traditional congestion control mechanism of transport control protocol (TCP) has been proved cannot satisfy the wireless scenario. The extensive research has been done to understand the drawback of TCP in wireless networks. In this paper, we proposed a new congestion control algorithms for mobile ad-hoc networks (MANET) at the TCP sender side which efficiently adapts to the maximum transmission rate of a mobile wireless link, the new algorithms follow the idea of FAST TCP which uses delay as congestion measure. However, FAST TCP has limitations when used over a dynamic mobile wireless link with a high frame error ratio (FER) and frequent delay changes due to the variable rate. The new algorithms overcome this shortcoming by improving the congestion signal choice. By using analysis, we proved that the new congestion control mechanism provides superior performance over mobile wireless network environments.

Abstract: The displacement amplification and hysteresis of parallel four-bar mechanism using piezo actuator were researched in this paper. The displacement amplification was analyzed by employing the material bending theory firstly. Theoretical and FEM analysis proved that the amplification ratio of parallel four-bar mechanism is only related to the position of driving point and the guiding arm displacement is directly proportional to the input with the certain structure. Then the Preisach model was employed to model the hysteresis of guiding arm and using the model to perform the research on the output displacement of the mechanism. Experiments proved that the analysis is correct and showed that this model can effectively improve the accurate of the guiding arm output displacement and can realize output arbitrary series displacement using the Preisach interpolation surface.

Abstract: With the deeply development of campus information technology, it needs to store and manage vast amounts of information. However, the information is often stored in different structures of information systems, how to achieve the integration of heterogeneous data sources is the problem to be solved in university information system. In this article, the most commonly used integration technology of heterogeneous data sources is described, and then data source integration patterns which could be used in campus are studied, the design of XML-based integration of heterogeneous data sources and some key technology are in-depth studied.

Abstract: In this paper, multiple tuned liquid dampers control for rain-wind-induced response of long span transmission tower is investigated. Equations of motion for a structure-TLD system are derived. According to the mechanism of vibration control, rain-wind-induced vibration control for tower model with multiple tuned liquid dampers is carried out by using numerical simulation. Three-dimensional finite element model of tower based on a real project is established. Rain-wind load time history is simulated based on wind and rain theory. Time history curves and the maximum responses without and with tuned liquid damper under rain-wind excitation are analyzed and discussed. The results show that the tuned liquid damper could decrease the rain-wind-induced response of long span transmission tower, and the device could be installed in tower when the response too large.

Abstract: In this paper, active control of periodic transient vibration based on repetitive control (RC) algorithm is studied. According to the stability condition of an active vibration control (AVC) system, a novel non-causal stable inversion approach combined with an optimal criterion is used to design the RC controller for an AVC system with a non-minimum phase secondary path. Computer simulations have been carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The plant model used in the computer simulations is obtained from a practical AVC system in our laboratory. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can significantly reduce periodic transient vibration and the convergence rate is acceptable for a non-minimum phase plant.

Abstract: The nonlinear seismic response of transverse slope at secund tunnel portal is first studied with dynamic finite element method under conditions of horizontal, vertical and both horizontal and vertical input, and then the dynamic safety factors of the most dangerous slide face which vary with time are researched after adding the field of static stress. For the purpose of dynamic stability evaluation, the total average dynamic safety factor and the permanent displacement are bring forward and used in this paper. At last, the model of dynamic response analysis and stability evaluation is built for transverse slope at secund tunnel portal.
