Abstract: This paper made the 3D model reconstruction of the V2500 turban blade. First, collected rough points cloud data by using visual measuring equipment. Then, smoothed and filtered the point cloud data, took the rational simplification, finished pre-processing the point cloud data. Finally, the grayscale of space-image algorithm was used for fitting the edge of turban blade, and reconstructed the 3D digital model. The results proved that this method improved smoothness of the model, and reduced time and cost of modeling and machining.

Abstract: A carbazole-based conjugated polymer bearing ruthenium complexes Pbpy(Ru)-Cz was synthesized aiming to obtain a material with dual functionalities of both light absorption and hole-transport for photovoltaic cells. Chemical structures of the monomers and polymers were confirmed by ¹H NMR, IR, and elemental analysis. Pbpy(Ru)-Cz showed good thermal stability and solubility. The absorption spectrum of Pbpy(Ru)-Cz showed a broader peak covering the wavelength range from 380 to 650 nm. Preliminary photovoltaic behavior was evaluated by fabricating photovoltaic cells. As measured under a 55 mW cm‾² compact white arc lamp, Voc, Jsc, FF and ηe of the device ITO/Pbpy(Ru)-Cz:PCBM/Al were 0.18 V, 0.019 mA cm‾², 0.22 and 1.40×10‾³%, pectively.

Abstract: Digital Factory (DF) technology is one of the most important part of manufacturer enterprise information systems, its core technology is modeling & simulation. This paper introduced the digital factory concept and its functions with multi-level multi-resolution modeling and simulation method; we established a new framework of the digital factory technology. It combines with the features of DF and simulation technology which expands the development of DF and application of simulation technology. A case was taken to show the feasibility of multi-level modeling & multi-resolution simulation technology attaching to the DF technology.

Abstract: In this study, a novel structure design method based on knowledge template was prompted. The notion and construction methods of knowledge template were introduced. Moreover, the knowledge template based design process was represented. The knowledge templates of investment casting die bases of turbine blade were established and a design system for die base was developed. The system provides designers with a semi-automated approach for the die base design. Finally, several sample applications for investment casting die base of turbine blade were presented for demonstration.

Abstract: Up to now, several methods have been proposed for monitoring processes with attribute data. These methods can be categorized into two major group; statistical methods and fuzzy methods. In this paper current fuzzy methods are introduced and the performance of fuzzy methods and statistical methods are compared together based on the Average Run Length (ARL). The comparison shows that the statistical method has the best performance. We show the necessity of using fuzzy method in case of attribute data. Then the critiques towards fuzzy methods are reviewed which show the usage of fuzzy set theory in these methods have some restriction. As a result we indicate a study gap about the usage of fuzzy set theory for monitoring processes with attribute data and at the end some guideline for the next study are proposed.

Abstract: In order to ravel out the problem of serious corrosion and difficult repeated construction on the sea, the fluorocarbon coatings for external surface of ocean platform has been researched. The UV light stability, salt fog resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance of fluorocarbon coatings are investigated. The comparison data between fluorocarbon coating and chlorinated rubber coatings, acrylic polyurethane coatings and silicone coatings are given.

Abstract: This paper presents the development of a new polymer-ceramic composite material for use in injection molding machine. The material consists of palm oil fly ash (POFA) in a high density polyethylene (HDPE) powder. In this study, the effect of POFA was investigated as a filler material in polymer-ceramic matrix composite and HDPE was chosen as a matrix material. The detailed formulations of mixing ratio with various combinations of the new polymer-ceramic composite are investigated experimentally. Based on the result obtained, it was found that, the weight percentage increment of POFA filler affected the flexural and hardness strength. This work represents a major development in recycling of waste material from palm oil empty fruit bunch out of the refinery to produce polymer/ceramic matrix composite.

Abstract: With the development of interactive multimedia technologies, image and video compression algorithms necessitated a number of better performance and functionality. Wavelet transform based embedded image coding method is the basis of JPEG2000. Lossy image compression algorithms sacrifice perfect image reconstruction in favor of decreased storage requirements. JPEG2000 algorithm has been developed based on the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) techniques, which have shown how the results achieved in different areas in information technology can be applied to enhance the performance.

Abstract: In this paper, we present an analytical model for thermoelastic damping (TED) in micromechanical resonators, which is based on entropy generation, a thermodynamic parameter measuring the irreversibility in heat conduction. The temperature field of thin beam with small vibration is obtained by solving governing equations of linear thermoelasticity. The analytical solution is derived from the entropy generation equation. This method of entropy generation can provide an accurate estimation of the quality factor in flexural resonators. The results are compared with Zener’s approximation and LR (Lifshitz and Roukes) method. It is shown that the analytical model described in this paper is valid to estimate the quality factor due to thermoelastic damping.
