Research of Traditional District Reconstruction Based on Southern Song Dynasty Culture: Concept of "YiJu" Planning Design

Abstract:

It should be emphasized on local culture’s conservation and heritage, with taking history and culture as its base during reconstruction of traditional district. Design methods for the reconstruction were discussed, which based on Southern Song Dynasty culture. It involves of functional orientation, reproduction of historical and cultural, layout between original buildings and new buildings. It explains these opinions with the work, "Yiju" planning design.
