On Eco-Village Planning in the Under-Developed Area in Middle China

Abstract:

Jiangxi province, located in middle China, boastful of its unparalleled natural environment, is under-developed and industrially backward. Given its local conditions and environmental advantages, it is feasible to adopt the eco-village planning in the new rural construction. The paper analyzes the current situation and existing problems in Jiangxi villages and puts forward the concept of eco-village by combining the author’s personal investigation and engagement in some recent cases in that area, and finally concludes the appropriate standard and requirements for the local eco-village planning.
