Abstract: Taiwan position is in the subtropics, the climate is high temperature and much rains of year. Freeway mostly uses traditional dense grade in pavement construction, so the pavement could not remove water quickly in rainy day. It will deteriorate by rutting and aging, due to increasing maintenance frequency and cost. Porous asphalt pavement has high performance on road user safe and amenity in many countries. But the prescription in porous asphalt is Variable, for example, the fiber has miner and wood. Base on multiple conditions, the best performance can choice by multiple criteria decision method. This methodology needs the criteria under independent, but the real world is not. The study use Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory method to establish the relationship in criteria. With result, the drainage capacity was the important factor in porous asphalt pavement.

Abstract: According to the porous asphalt concrete’s big void structure as well as high temperature and rainy application environment, the author point out that using the conventional evaluation index such as high temperature stability and water stability to evaluate the PAC’s performance seem single, and then put up with estimating the PAC’s pavement performance by means of Hamburg Wheel Tracking under the water-high temperature’s comprehensive action. Studied on the PAC with the same raw materials and different gradations, and compared with the experimental results of AC-13 modified asphalt mixture and SMA-13, the results shows that, Hamburg Wheel Tracking test not only considered the water-high temperature’s comprehensive action on mixture, but also considered the mixture’s performance decay under long-term loading. Hamburg Wheel Tracking test can evaluate the PAC’s performance more practically, the PAC which materials and graduations reasonably designed have good performance, and its Hamburg Wheel Tracking final deformation is only 3.89mm, it can satisfy the demand from the high temperature and rainy environment. As well, the test results also comes to the conclusions that under the same materials and the same air voids, the PAC with coarse framework structure own better water stability and water-high temperature stability.

Abstract: Mountain high-filled embankment settlement prediction methods need to do some research. With the analysis of the experimental observation’s results, obtained some factors that influence the settlement. Then through the comparison of these three kinds of calculation models with the measured data, obtained the results which are suitable for the construction of the medium range estimate are as follows: Hyperbolic curve method and Exponential curve method. As gray prediction theory method is suitable for the long-term prediction after construction. The comparisons the accuracy of these different methods can provide reference for the prediction of embankment for similar constructions.

Abstract: A wireless monitoring system was carried out to manage the streetlight in Tianjin bonded area. The system adapted a concentric dropping voltage energy-saving mode and the single lamp was monitored without control. The single lamp’s electrical information was trapped by a detecting module and sent to the communication terminal by power carrier technology. Then the collected information of termination was transferred to a remote monitoring center by GPRS communication module. The streetlights in the subsection were on-off by combining timing with illuminance. The practice shows this system is reliable and effective.

Abstract: This study shows that the traditional engineering method of mountain road construction has not only caused local ecological disturbance directly, but also through each of the stages of the preparation, such as material gathering, construction, continual maintenance, and the diminishing of recycling potential, whereas ecological engineering method, with safety as its main priority, could offer a better ecological condition for construction projects. Through studying the local environmental features and using the proper construction method, the most suitable, corresponding engineering method ought to be adopted. This research uses Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with surveys completed by field experts. This research contains three dimensions: Road Characteristics, Roadside Characteristics, Biological Characteristics. Additionally, actual samples of practical application of ecological engineering would also be discussed to further prove the result and the accuracy of the AHP. Research shows that in the overall planning of a mountain road construction project, ecological engineering method serves to be the better approach.

Abstract: The main purpose of recycling is to reuse existing pavement material. First this paper reviews the necessary, feasibility and mechanistic analysis of recycled asphalt mixture, then summarizes the findings of a laboratory study to characterize and design recycled asphalt concrete mixtures using different tests. The laboratory tests carried out on the material were conventional test methods including unconfined compressive strength, cleavage strength, resilient modulus and shrinkage properties tests. The results of the laboratory can be taken as reference in design, engineering and further research.

Abstract: By analysising the disadvantages of the current bid evaluation methods used in highway project,the article builds up TOPSIS model based on coefficient of entropy to evaluating bidding units. First,the weight of each index is calculated by means of entropy weight coefficient method. Then it makes comprehensive assessment about bid evaluation with entropy weight coefficient method and TOPSIS method. The proposed method is applied to evaluating information system integration solutions and satisfactory results are abtained.

Abstract: The effect of three types of warm additives, including Sasobit, Aspha-min and Evotherm DAT, on the compaction temperature, rutting resistance, low temperature resistance and moisture resistance of hot asphalt mixture (HMA) were evaluated by laboratory test. The test results show that Sasobit, Aspha-min and Evotherm DAT can reduce the compaction temperature of HMA by 27°C, 20°C and 30°C respectively. These warm additives all can improve obviously the rutting resistance of HMA. However, Evotherm DAT can increase low temperature cracking resistance ability of HMA. Aspha-min has obviously negative effect on the low temperature cracking resistance and moisture resistance of HMA. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate performance properties of HMA when selecting warm additives.

Abstract: A new simulation method of stochastic process was accepted in the field of simulation for the track irregularities. This method adopted the Hartley orthogonal bases as the standard orthogonal bases. On the basis of the expansion method of stochastic process, and under the condition of ensuring accuracy, it could capture main probabilistic characters of a stochastic process with only a few independent random variables. Through the numerical simulation of the example, it testified the validity and effectiveness of the new method.
